Super Eagles defender, Chidozie Awaziem has joined Hajduk Split in the Croatian Premier League on a season loan, Nigeriasoccernet.com can report.

Awaziem has been with his parent club Boavista during the preseason without any sign of moving away until his move to the Croatian side was announced on Monday afternoon.

"HNK Hajduk and Boavista FC agreed on a one-year loan deal for 25-year-old stopper Chidozie Awaziem with an option to purchase in the contract at the end of the current season. Chidozie will wear jersey number 25 in Hajduk," the club confirmed.
