Ex-Hearts of Oak striker Bernard Don Boartey is certain that the Phobians will not go down to division 1 but says management will have to work hard to ensure the club returns to winning laurels.

Boartey helped Hearts win the CAF Champions league, the confederation  cup and CAF super cup in the early part of the century.

The 29 year old recently criticized the playing body of the team for their role in the sharp decline of the club as issues of unpaid bonuses has disrupted the team's campaign.

But despite all the challenges he says he does not see the Phobians going down but admits they are far away from winning laurels  at the moment.

“I do not see Hearts of Oak going down to relegation and i know they will survive that is certain,” Boartey told Accra based Happy FM

“But I think that management will have to put in a lot of work if the team is to start winning laurels.

“Sometimes its very difficult watching Hearts of Oak these day because the club was so powerful in the past.”
