Cyriel Dessers' impressive equalizer rescued a point for Rangers in their UEFA Europa League clash against Olympiacos, leaving legend Ally McCoist in awe, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Nigeria international showcased remarkable composure to net his first Europa League goal of the season, boosting under-pressure manager Philippe Clement.

Olympiacos took the lead through Ayoub El Kaabi's 56th-minute strike, but Dessers responded eight minutes later.

He sidestepped Panagiotis Retsos, who committed a misjudged tackle, and calmly slotted the ball into the bottom corner.

McCoist, commentating on TNT Sports, praised Dessers' finish: "That's a tremendous finish, I need to say," McCoist as par Ibrox News

"Absolutely poor defending from Retsos diving in like that, that’s shocking. That said, the composure after it from Dessers was excellent, just side-steps the defender, gives the goalkeeper the eyes and goes back across into the far corner. That is a lovely finish.”

Dessers' goal ended an eight-game drought and brought his season tally to nine goals and three assists in 19 appearances.
