English Championship side Derby County are interested in the signing of Nigeria international Sone Aluko, 27.

The offensive all-rounder will have to look for pastures new ahead of next season, with Premier League new boys Hull City informing him that he won’t be offered a fresh contract.

The Sun says the Rams are hoping to strengthen their attack this summer with the acquisition of Sone Aluko.

The London-born Aluko began his career with Birmingham City, followed by spells with Aberdeen, Blackpool, Rangers and Hull City.

Despite struggling with injuries, he appeared 31 times for the Tigers in all competitions over the course of last season and scored three goals.
