Kwara United goalie, Dele Aiyenugba is in cloud nine following the honour given to him by his former employers, Enyimba, Nigeriasoccernet.com can report.

The NPFL veteran safe hands was given a guard of honour and an award for his services during his time with the People's Elephant at the NPFL clash between his club, Kwara United and Enyimba.

The 39-year-old who spent about seven years bringing glory to the Aba based club, disclosed he was taken by surprise following the gesture of the 8-time champions of the Nigeria football league.

He said: ''I was not expecting it to be honest and I must appreciate Enyimba for the honour because I was treated like Leo Messi who is the best player ever in the world.

He acknowledges that is he had the best time of his career with the most successful club in Nigerian football.

''It was at Enyimba I had the best of my career and glory be to God for everything.''
