Deco wishes Real Madrid well – but not against Barcelona

Barcelona sporting director Deco has offered Real Madrid his best wishes for the current season, with one notable exception: matches against Barcelona.

“I wish Real Madrid good luck – just not in their matches with Barcelona,” Deco said while commenting on the club’s prospects this season.

Real Madrid appointed Jose Mourinho as head coach before the start of the new campaign. The Portuguese manager replaced Alvaro Arbeloa in the role.

Barcelona have made the stronger start to the season and lead the La Liga table after four rounds with 12 points. Real Madrid are third on nine points.

Barcelona have also issued a statement about the collapsed transfer of Alvarez.
