Though the match has been dubbed the 'Battle of Britain', the clash between Group B rivals England and Wales will contain a lot of on-hold friendships that are set to continue after the match.

Arsenal pair Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere are just a few of the players hoping to put aside their friendship for their nation's cause.

But England goalkeeper Joe Hart will be quietly glad that he won't have to put in too many challenges against Wales midfielder David Edwards after it was revealed the former Shrewsbury player rented a spare room out for just £50 to then Shrewsbury 'keeper.

Their paths crossed back then with the pair sharing good times in Edwards' house, but after going onto bigger and better things, their paths are set to cross again.

Though we suspect, being the professionals they are they relished playing on those cold windy nights at the New Meadow, it is likely neither of them will have been as stoked up as they now heading into this crunch match.

Following England's draw against Russia in their opening game, a win is necessary if they are to make the next round as a loss could potentially be fatal.

Edwards and Wales' fortunes were much more positive in their opening game with a 2-1 win over Slovakia putting them on the brink of making the knockout stages in their first ever European Championships.
