Danny Namaso puts Cameroon in control against Comoros

Cameroon will take a 1-0 lead into half-time against Comoros in their Africa Cup of Nations qualifying Group G opener.

The Indomitable Lions have controlled the match from the start, dominating possession and limiting their opponents’ influence during the first half.

Cameroon have had 68% of the ball and won five corners, while Comoros have managed 32% possession.

That pressure was rewarded in the 39th minute when D. Nyengue (Danny Namaso) found the net to give Cameroon a deserved advantage before the break.

Cameroon have looked composed and firmly in control throughout the opening 45 minutes. They will now aim to maintain the same intensity after the interval and extend their lead.

Comoros, meanwhile, must respond in the second half if they are to overturn the deficit.
