Liverpool were held to a hard fought 2-2 draw in April 2016, but will Rafa Benitez pull out a win vs. his former club? Jurgen Klopp believes Rafa Benitez's connection with Liverpool won't have an impact on the match.

Daniel Sturridge was named in the starting XI for Liverpool in Sunday's match against Newcastle United, while Jordan Henderson will make his 250th appearance for the Merseyside club.

Sturridge is in line to make his third start of the season and replaces Roberto Firmino, who has been named as a substitute for the encounter at St. James' Park.

Simon Mignolet returns in goal for Liverpool after Loris Karius played in the Champions League tie with Spartak Moscow on Tuesday night.

Meanwhile, Joe Gomez is also part of the starting XI after he missed the midweek trip to Russia due to suspension.

Gomez will start at right-back in place of Trent Alexander-Arnold, who is not part of the matchday squad.
