Daniel Daga Scores on Starting Return as Molde Rally Past KFUM Oslo
Nigerian midfielder Daniel Daga marked his return to Molde's starting XI with a goal as the Norwegian club fought back from an early setback to defeat KFUM Oslo 4-2 in Sunday's Eliteserien encounter, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
KFUM Oslo stunned the visitors by taking the lead inside the opening minute, but Molde gradually found their rhythm and drew level before half-time through Daga, who calmly slotted a low finish into the net from inside the penalty area in the 40th minute.
The 19-year-old delivered an impressive all-round performance in midfield before making way for EnggÄrd in the 69th minute.
Molde carried their momentum into the second half, adding three more goals to seal an impressive comeback victory and claim all three points.
The goal was Daga's first since returning to competitive action after being acquitted of sexual assault charges. He made his comeback last weekend as a second-half substitute in Molde's 2-1 home defeat to Brann.
Daga's encouraging display will boost his confidence as he looks to re-establish himself in the team, while providing Molde with added optimism in their push for a European qualification place in the Norwegian Eliteserien.
