A Sport Edifice will be named after the late Stephen Keshi and a Sporting fund or football Academy will be floated in his honor the Minister of Sports, Barrister Solomon Dalung has confirmed.

The former Super Eagles Captain and Coach passed on early Wednesday and his death has since drawn condolences from across the world.

Keshi, who captained Nigeria to a second Afcon crown in 1994 and 19 years later won the title again as Coach of the Super Eagles, won praises for his stellar career and qualities both on and off the pitch.

Dalung assured that a decision on the edifice in honor of the Legend will be tabled before the Federal Executive Council.

The minister said: ” His belief can only be sustained in this country, if we have an avenue where such thoughts are recycled to the young ones for the benefit of the future, so that we can be able to produce another Stephen Keshi.”
