Cyriel Dessers rattles net twice in Rangers big win over Dundee
Nigeria Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers was in imperious form, scoring twice to gave Rangers victory in the quarter final of the Scottish League cup against Dundee United, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Dessers with a goal in each half earned the Glasgow team a 3-0 victory to progress to the semi final of the tournament at the Ibrox Stadium.
The Nigerian opened score after 18 minutes after an initial Dessers close-range effort was well-saved, Tavernier whipped in a dangerous cross into the box and Dessers tucked the ball under Trevor Carson.
James Travenier scored for Rangers to make it 2-0 early in the second half before Dessers put the icing on the cake in the 66th minute of the game.
He was subbed off two minutes later as the score remained the same till the end.
