Nigeria's Cyriel Dessers was on sung for Rangers propelling the Scottish Giants to a big win over Hearts in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Super Eagles forward scored twice in Rangers' 5-0 thumping of Hearts at the Ibrox Stadium.

Mohamed Domande opened score just 2 minutes into the game after hitting the ball with his left foot in fine fashion to set Rangers on a roller coaster ride.

Dessers would have scored his first earlier in the game after turning a Hearts defender and driving forward to create the space inside the box to strike, but it was saved in the 15th minute.

Rangers kept pushing for more goals and it was just a matter of time for the second goal of the game with 4 minutes left to the end of the first half courtesy of Óscar Cortés who fired in a perfect first-time finish from Tom Lawrence's pass.

Dessers wrapped a comfortable lead for the hosts a minute to the end of half time after a calm finish from John Soutta's assist.

The Nigerian started the second half for the home side with a other goal to make it 4-0, putting the game beyond the visitors after two minutes into the half.

Dessers almost had a hat-trick as James Tavernier played a ball across the face of goal but it was just out of reach for the number nine.

Fabio Silva made it 5-0 from John Lundstram pass in the box.

Cyriel Dessers who now has 15 goals this season was substituted with 10 minutes left in the game for Kemar Roofe.

The win keeps the blue army top of the log with 67 points, 4 points better than rivals, Celtic after 27 matches played.
