Nigeria's Cyriel Dessers has hinted at the possibility of remaining in Rangers for the new season despite uncertainty surrounding his future, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Super Eagles striker was on the verge of leaving Ibrox earlier this summer as AEK Athens stepped up their interest with a reported fee of £5million for his services.

It was reported in June that an agreement had been reached between the club and the player; however, scoring a penalty and providing an assist for Rangers in the Champions League playoffs, things may have changed.

As reported by the Daily Record, the 30-year-old was happy to mingle with fans after the first leg third-round play-off as he posed for pictures and signed autographs outside Ibrox.

And the ex-Cremonese star was directly asked by a supporter if he would be staying put.

In a video posted on TikTok, the fan asks: "Good game, Cyriel. Are you staying or going?"

Dessers laughs as he replies: "Eh, looks like I'm staying, huh? I'm here today, huh?".

The punter responds: "Honestly? You're staying? Oh, top man. Over the moon."

Before Dessers smiles and adds, "Thank you."

Dessers has 52 goals and 17 assists to his name in 113 matches played for Rangers since he joined in 2023.
