English Premier League outfit, Crystal Palace, has acquired the services of left-footed Nigerian wonderkid Kelvin Agho.

The Eagles made this known to the public through their official website.

The left-back joined the club on 1st September 2022 and has been loaned to ŠTK 1914 Šamorín in Slovakia for the remainder of the season.

He grew up in Abuja, Nigeria and was a part of the Hypebuzz Academy for several years.

Šamorín’s Sporting Director, Horváth Csaba was excited to have acquired the services of the young Nigerian on loan from Selhurst Park.

“He was noticed at Crystal Palace and when such a club comes to the fore, the players usually take advantage of such an opportunity,”

“Kelvin is at the start of his journey which could lead to the Premier League, so he needs to play. We have been in contact with his agent since the spring, with whom we agreed that Kelvin could come to Šamorín on loan."

“He is a player with potential, which is not often found in our country, so I think that he will enrich our team with something again.”

Kelvin Agho joins the growing list of Nigerian players at the club with Malcolm Ebiowei, Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze all at the club.

With Agho signing for a Premier League Club like Palace, from a Nigerian Academy, Hypebuzz, many Nigerian youngsters will believe they can make the big break abroad by performing well here in Nigeria.

Hopefully Agho's case is not the last we will hear of this year, as there are many talented youngsters in Nigeria who aspire to fulfill their dreams of playing on the biggest of stages.
