Crystal Palace midfielder Hiram Boateng ponders Ghana, England nationality switch
Crystal Palace young midfielder Hiram Boateng says he needs a cool head to decide his international allegiance to either Ghana or England.
The 19-year-old was born to Ghanaian parent in Wandsworth, England and eligible to play for any of the two soccer nations.
Boateng says he need a cool head to decide his international allegiance.
"[I can represent either England or Ghana]. This is a tricky one but I will have to be on the cool first and then I will make the decision later," he is quoted by the Crystal Palace's Academy Spotlight show.
The left-footed defensive midfielder has established himself in the Under-21 side notching a goal in 17 appearances so far.
He is easily remembered for his sensational carbon copy of Diego Maradona’ s goal of the century for Crystal Palace as they were beaten 4-2 by Colchester in January.
