Courtois says Vinicius Junior’s Real Madrid revival is on its way

Thibaut Courtois expects Vinicius Junior to return to form despite the Real Madrid forward’s current difficulties.

The 26-year-old Brazil international has not scored for Real Madrid since the end of August and failed to register a goal or assist again in Wednesday’s 4-1 Champions League victory over RB Leipzig. Vinicius Junior was substituted in the 70th minute.

“Vinicius will return,” said Courtois, speaking about his team-mate’s dip in form.

Vinicius Junior has scored once and provided three assists in 11 appearances during the current campaign.

He will miss Sunday’s meeting with Barcelona after being suspended.
