Courtois indicates Real Madrid agreement is close

Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois says he is on the verge of signing a new contract with the club.

The 34-year-old’s current deal is due to expire at the end of this season, but it is expected to be extended for a further year.

Courtois has been with Real Madrid since joining the club in the summer of 2018. The experienced goalkeeper has made 12 appearances for Jose Mourinho’s side during the current campaign, conceding 14 goals in total.
