It was a resilient display from Cremonese as the 20th team in the league defeated the league leaders Napoli by 5-4 on penalties after playing a 2-2 draw in over 120 minutes.

The two teams went into the match with a contrasting league result with Napoli defeating Juventus 5-1 while Cremonese lost to Monza 3-2.

Nigeria international, David Okereke was a turn in the flesh of Napoli in the early minute contribution played a part when Charles Pickel was ready to tap in at the back post.

Napoli in no time equalized through what looked like a controversial goal from Juan Jesus. And three minutes late Napoli took the lead Giovanni Simione.

Okereke was not never going to see team go down at least not without a fight, so he continued to imposes himself on the Napoli center-backs.

Just as it seemed as if Napoli were coasting towards the final whistle, Cremonese equalized through Felix Afena-Gyan who happened to be Okereke’s replacement.
