Copenhagen Striker to appear in Court for Sexual Assault
Danish FC Copenhagen striker and Former U-17 Golden Eaglets player,Akinkunmi Amoo may appear before a District Court in Denmark in June on alleged charges bothering on sexual assault and it's related offences
This was revealed by a season journalist Obayiuwana Osasu on his Twitter handle on Tuesday, he added that Amoo was initially arrested on September 10th 2022 and was released on bail on October 7th of the same year.
“I understand that @FCKobenhavn striker Akinkunmi Amoo is due to appear in a district court in Copenhagen, Denmark on June 23rd, to respond to charges of alleged sexual assault and two other related offences.
“Amoo is currently in Nigeria. he was initially arrested on September 10th 2022 and was released on bail on October 7th of the same year.
“The criminal charges against him were laid by Danish authorities in April, July and August 2022,” he twitted.
He signed a five-year contract with F.C. Copenhagen in the Danish Superliga on January 31, 2021. The fee was reportedly set at around €4.4 million, plus bonuses and a sell-on clause, making it a record breaking transfer for Hammarby.
He made 4 appearances for the club so far scoring just once.
