New Napoli manager, Antonio Conte has requested a face-to-face meeting with star striker Victor Osimhen to discuss his future at the club, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Nigeria international has been on the transfer list of quite a number of clubs in Europe with Osimhen’s body language suggesting readiness to leave the Italian outfit.

The 25 year-old has been Napoli’s biggest attacking threat scoring 15 league goals in 25 appearances in the just concluded.

Despite having €120-€130 million release clause and two years left on his contract, Osimhen has not lack suitors.

The meeting is likely to center around the possibility of Osimhen staying at Napoli, as no club has yet met his €130m release clause.

Starting his reign with the former Serie A champions, Conte according to Cronache di Napoli via Tuttomercatoweb is planning a face-to-face meeting with Osimhen.

Chelsea and Manchester United have shifted their focus to younger forwards, while Arsenal are in talks with Viktor Gyökeres.

PSG are not currently bidding, leaving only Al Ahli and Al Hilal as serious suitors, but Osimhen is not interested in a Saudi Pro League move.

Working under Conte could benefit Osimhen, given the manager's track record of improving strikers and winning titles, including four Serie A crowns.

This could lead to Osimhen returning to form and winning more honors under Conte's guidance.
