Super Falcons Coach, Randy Waldrum has spoken of  his team's preparation for the 2024 Olympics in Paris in 10 days time, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Falcons are in Seville preparing for the Olympics and will be playing defending gold medalist, Canada in a warm up match on Thursday.

Waldrum has described the venue for the team's camping as a good one and how preparation for a big competition should be.

"It's secluded, it's private, we can focus and it is nice to be here. It's been a great set up for us. This is the way you need to do camp before a big competition."

On expectations of his team as they play women football powerhouse, Canada in a friendly match, Waldrum says will be a good measuring stick for the team.

"They are the defending Olympic gold medalist, playing them in Australia we know we up against a good side, but it will be a good measuring stick for us. We will try to get two things out of it.

Every time we get on the field we want to win, we want to keep that momentum going, but we also have to be careful we have a couple of players coming back from injury from their club season. So we have to manage their time.

We will be looking at it from the standpoint of how they perform. We will be looking at if what we have been working on translate into the performance tomorrow, but I expect us to be good." He said.

Waldrum also speaks on his side's readiness for the Olympics as they play giants Brazil, Japan and Spain in group C.

"I think we are, I think we are confident, the players are ready, they are up for it. It is a very difficult group as we know, but I think they've embraced the challenge, I think they want to play those teams.
