Akwa United head coach, Ayodeji Ayeni has retorated the benefits of playing in the Super Six claiming the platform is a “centre of attraction for everybody,” Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Nigeria Professional Football League this season is abridged league of two groups with the bottom of each group going into relegation and the top three qualifying for the playoffs (Super Six).

The Super Six will see the top two represent Nigeria at the CAF Champions League and the third play team playing in the second tie of the continental competition.

This, the coach believes is a big avenue for teams to showcase themselves.

“The players know the importance of this Super Six. It’s going to be a centre of attraction for everybody to see, and it’s going to be an open door for players, coaches, and their team as a whole.

“For all these reasons, we cannot afford to miss out on this chance.”

The play-off is billed to take place at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Lagos, starting May 19.
