Belgian Pro League frontrunner, Club Brugge, has expressed keen interest in securing the services of Nigerian forward, Etiosa Ighodaro, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

This strategic move comes as the club anticipates the departure of their leading goal-getter, Igor Thiago, who is poised for a switch to the prestigious Premier League at the close of the season.

Ighodaro, considered a promising talent, is being eyed as a fitting successor to Thiago's scoring prowess. Currently plying his trade on loan at SuperSport United from Mamelodi Sundowns, the 22-year-old has showcased his abilities during loan spells at TUKS and Chippa United.

In the wake of Brugge's striker hunt, negotiations with Mamelodi Sundowns for the acquisition of Ighodaro are anticipated to commence in the coming days.
