Midfield maestro Clifford Aboagye was named Man of the Match as Ghana beat Zambia 2-1 on Thursday to reach the semi-finals of the African Youth Championship.

The CF Granada man was lively in the match played at the Caroline Faye Stadium in Mbour as Ghana rallied to win the match.

Aboagye won a lot of free kicks for the Satellites and was the main man in midfield.

His intelligent through pass from the edge of the area found Samuel Afful inside the box for the Hasaaacas forward to slot home for the match winner.

Aboagye, a bronze ball winner at the 2013 FIFA U20 World Cup in Turkey, made his experience count.

He becomes the second Ghana player to win a man of the match award after Michael Otoo was crowned in the opening 2-0 win over South Africa.
