Ex-Hearts coach CK Akunnor believes he’s silenced his critics after guiding Dreams FC to the Ghanaian top-flight league next season.

Akunnor took the Hearts job after leaving Eleven Wise and has since been instrumental in helping the side to bag a historic qualification to the top-flight.

The 41-year-old endured a difficult one-year spell at the club, leading to his dismissal in 2012 following a string of poor displays.

But after leading the ambitious second-tier side to the elite division next season, the former Ghana international says those who doubted him at Hearts should bow their head in shame.

“It is a statement to those who doubted me; yes I did not succeed at Hearts of Oak but am not bothered at what people will say,” he told Starr FM.

Dreams FC secured qualification at the expense of King Solomon and Tema Youth.
