Nigeria centre-forward Clinton Nwosu has joined Citizen from Bright Cerulean on a free transfer, completing his move to the Hong Kong First Division club on 16 September 2026.

The 29-year-old has switched clubs within Hong Kong’s second-tier competition after spending part of the 2025-26 campaign with Bright Cerulean. His arrival gives Citizen an experienced option in the centre-forward position as they begin the 2026-27 season.

Nwosu’s move follows a short spell at Bright Cerulean, where he also arrived as a free agent on 22 January 2026. That transfer marked his previous club change before he moved to Citizen eight months later.

Citizen’s signing comes at the start of the new Hong Kong First Division campaign. The club have played one possible league fixture so far, with Nwosu yet to make an appearance, start a match or record a goal or assist since completing the transfer.

Born on 12 September 1997, Nwosu is listed as a centre-forward and represents Nigeria by nationality. His move keeps him in the same league while taking him to a new club for the 2026-27 season.

The transfer continues a sequence of free moves for the striker, with no fee involved in either his switch to Bright Cerulean or his subsequent move to Citizen. No contract expiry date has been announced for his agreement with the new club.

Nwosu has now formally left Bright Cerulean and joined Citizen as a free agent, completing the transfer on 16 September 2026.
