Due to a request from AC Milan, Samuel Chukwueze, a player in Serie A, will be reporting late to the Super Eagles' 2023 Africa Cup of Nations camp, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) granted this request, allowing Chukwueze to participate in a Coppa Italia clash against Cagliari on January 2. The Super Eagles' camp in Abu Dhabi opens on the same day, and Chukwueze will join the team the following day.

While AC Milan's request for Ismael Bennacer was declined by the Algerian Football Federation, Chukwueze's late arrival has been approved.
