Christian Atsu thrilled with form and goal in Ghana's pre-AFCON friendly win
Ghana winger Christian Atsu is delighted with his performance and goal for the team in their 3-0 win over Olhanense on Wednesday in a pre-Nations Cup friendly.
The on-loan Everton player opened the scoring on 20 minutes before goals from Kwesi Appiah and Jordan Ayew completed the rout.
Minutes after the match he posted on Twitter: “Happy to play & score in today's friendly match. #AFCON #Blackstars #Ghana.”
Atsu was playing his first match since returning from a two-week injury layoff.
He has lacked games this season with only three league appearances for Everton.
But the 22-year-old is a sure bet to make Ghana’s final 23-man squad for the tournament.
