Chinwendu Ihezuo scores in Monterey's draw with Tigres
Nigeria's Chinwendu Ihezuo was on the score board in the Mexican Liga MX Femenil tie between C.F Monterey Femenil and UANL Tigres on Saturday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Super Falcons forward scored her third goal in seven matches as her side Monterrey and Tigres settled for a one all draw at the BBVA Bancomer Stadium.
Ihezuo gave her side the lead with her first Clásico Regio goal in the 40th minute after an assist by Alejandra Lua.
But Maricarmen Reyes restored parity for Tigres three minutes into the second half to make it 1-1 which eventually turned out the result at the end of 90 minutes.
Ihezuo was on the field of play in the game for 86 minutes before she was replaced by Mexican midfielder, Aylin Avilez.
Las Rayadas which are yet to lose a match so far this season keep their top spot on the league standings with 29 points after 11 matches.
They play 12th placed UNAM on Saturday, the 1st of April at the University Olympic Stadium in their next league fixture.
