Chelsea's response pleases Sarri
Maurizio Sarri was delighted with the way his Chelsea players reacted to their Manchester City drubbing by beating Malmo on Thursday.
Ross Barkley and Olivier Giroud were on target as last season's FA Cup winners triumphed 2-1 in Sweden against Uwe Rosler's team.
The Blues had lost 6-0 at Manchester City on Sunday but played with more purpose against Malmo in the first leg of their Europa League last-32 encounter.
Sarri, who made five changes to his starting line-up, was satisfied with the performance, saying afterwards: "We played a good match against a team that is very physical.
"We were in control of the match and it would have been nice to win with more goals. But I am happy because we played with confidence and it wasn't easy after the last match.
"We played very well. We conceded a goal on a mistake but the level of attention was very good for 90 minutes. I am happy but we know very well we have to get the qualification in the next match."
Anders Christiansen pulled a late goal back for Malmo after an error from David Luiz but Chelsea are 5/1 to win the second leg 2-0 and 9/2 to lift the Europa League this season.
Meanwhile, they are available at 4/7 to qualify for the quarter-finals of the FA Cup by beating Manchester United in Monday's fifth-round encounter at Stamford Bridge.
