Chelsea's search for a top-class striker has been given a significant lift, with Napoli reportedly willing to consider selling Victor Osimhen, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Osimhen had previously agreed to join Paris Saint-Germain, but with negotiations between the French giants and Napoli stalling, the Nigerian international's future is now uncertain.

Renowned journalist, Fabrizio Romano’s update suggested that Chelsea may now have a clear path to sign Osimhen, who has also been linked with Arsenal.

The Blues' chances of landing the highly sought-after striker have increased, potentially transforming their attacking options for the upcoming season.

“Napoli keep looking for solutions for Victor Osimhen as they want to bring in Romelu Lukaku as soon as possible,” Romano tweeted.

“Understand Napoli could also be open to discussing Osimhen as part of Lukaku’s talks with Chelsea.

“Osimhen said yes to PSG, but deal in stand-by between clubs.”

Napoli's openness to exploring alternative options, including a potential swap deal involving Romelu Lukaku, has handed Chelsea a golden opportunity to strengthen their front line with a world-class talent.
