Chelsea ready to offer more than €120m for Barcelona’s Fermin Lopez – reports

Chelsea are reportedly preparing a bid of more than €120m for Barcelona attacking midfielder Fermin Lopez, according to El Nacional.

The 23-year-old Spain international is understood to be the London club’s leading transfer target, with Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso keen to sign him. The club’s executives are prepared to meet the manager’s demands, the report says.

Barcelona do not want to lose Lopez, but an offer exceeding €120m could persuade the Spanish club to agree to a deal.

Lopez has made five appearances for Barcelona in all competitions this season, scoring four goals and providing two assists.
