Nigeria's Golden Eaglets have defeated Burkina Faso 2-1 to win the 2022 West Africa Football Union Zone B U-17 Championship in Cape Coast.

The final was played between the two west African rivals on Friday, June 24, 2022 at the Cape Coast Stadium in Ghana.

The Golden Eaglets went went in front through Abubakar Abdullahi in the 22nd minute as he headed home from a beautiful pinpoint cross from Emmanuel Michael.

The Burkinabes drew level when A. Ouedraogo took advantage of a defensive mix-up to make it 1-1 just four minutes before the break.

The Nigerians went back in front barely two minutes into the secondhalf as Abubakar Abdullahi grabbed his second when he pounced on a loose ball from a free kick by freekick specialist, Emmanuel Michael which was fumbled by the goalkeeper.

Abdullahi missed a gilt-edged chance to grab his hat-trick nine minutes into the second half and the Burkinababes forwards piled on the pressure but the Eaglets saw off their threats to head to the CAF U-17 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Algeria next year as West Africa Zone B best cadet team.

Woah! I'm really enjoying the template/theme of this blog. It's simple, yet effective. A lot of times it's very difficult to get that "perfect balance" between usability and appearance. I must say you've done a very good job with this. In addition, the blog loads extremely fast for me on Opera. Excellent Blog! help refuges
