Cercle Brugge announce Nigeria-eligible Oluwaseun Adewumi
Belgian Pro League side Cercle Brugge has unveiled Nigeria-eligible Oluwaseun Adewumi as their latest summer addition from EPL side Burnley on a season-long loan deal, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Speaking on his arrival, Cercle Brugge's technical director Luciano Murchio stated;
"Seun Adewumi is a young, versatile, attack-minded player whose speed, direct style of play, and constant threat fit perfectly with our vision. We are confident that he will be an important addition to the team this season.
"We are pleased to welcome Seun to Cercle and look forward to playing a key role in his further development as he takes the next step in his career with us."
Oluwaseun Adewumi joined Burnley last season and was promptly loaned out to Scottish Premiership side Dundee FC, where he made an immediate impact.
Eligible to represent Nigeria and Austria, the dynamic midfielder impressed with five goals and five assists, playing a key role in Dundee’s campaign and earning the club’s Best Young Player of the Year award.
