Cech ready for new challenge
Chelsea have named Petr Cech as their technical and performance advisor after the 37-year-old brought his playing career to an end last month.
The Czech Republic goalkeeper's last game proved to be the Europa League final just over three weeks ago when he played for Arsenal against the Blues, who won the match in Baku 4-1.
He initially moved to Stamford Bridge in 2004 from Rennes and won four Premier League titles, four FA Cups, three League Cups, the 2011/12 Champions League and 2012/13 Europa League during his time with the club.
Cech, who joined Arsenal four years ago, said of his return to Chelsea: "I feel very privileged to have this opportunity to join Chelsea again and help create the best possible high level performance environment to continue the success the club has had over the past 15 years.
"I am looking forward to the new challenge and hope I can use all of my football knowledge and experience to help the team achieve even more success in the future."
Cech made 494 appearances for Chelsea during his illustrious career.
Chelsea are 25/1 to win the 2019/20 Premier League title and 21/10 to win their first game of the season against Manchester United on 11th August.
