Cardiff City Sack Head Coach Paul Trollope After Poor Start to the Season
"?Cardiff City have terminated the contract of head coach Paul Trollope with immediate effect.
Cardiff currently sit in 23rd position in the Championship, and endured a poor run of form since the beginning of the season. Their most recent win came in a 2-1 success at Rotherham, but consecutive 2-0 defeats to Derby and Burton have left the Welsh club in a relegation scrap early in the season. The Bluebirds have only managed to win two matches this season.

The club released the statement on social media, thanking Trollope for his efforts and wishing him well for the future, and saying they'll announce a new successor soon.
"Cardiff City Football Club can confirm that Paul Trollope's contract has been terminated with immediate effect.
"We'd like to thank Paul for his efforts and wish him the very best of luck for the future. Assistant coach Lennie Lawrence and Performance Director Ryland Morgans have also left the club with our best wishes.
"An announcement regarding Pauls' successor will be made in due course."
The appointment of Trollope in the first place was met with a lukewarm response, with the former Fulham and Northampton Town midfielder having not managed a side in six years, having ended his five year stint in charge of Bristol Rovers back in 2010.
Since leaving Bristol, the 44-year-old has found work as a coach, working with the first-team under Chris Hughton for both Birmingham City and Norwich. He left the latter when Hughton was dismissed back in 2014.
He has also been combining his recent role as Cardiff manager with a coaching job with the Wales national team under Chris Coleman.
