Edo Queens forward Emem Essien is not short of a strong expectation ahead of the CAF Women’s Champions League which is set to be hosted in Morocco, Nigeriasoccernet.com writes.

In an exclusive interview with CAFonline.com, the highly rated forward stated that her ambition in the tournament is to fight hard because they are always ready to face any challenges that comes their way: "That's our slogan, and we are determined to win in all our games."

Attributing experiences garnered during their WAFU-B conquest, Emem is certain that the discipline can help them achieve greater feat.

"I will carry the discipline, team play, and team spirit that we developed during the WAFU B tournament. We maintain the mindset to focus on our game and do what we know how to do best, which is to perform and bring out our best".

"I want to be the highest scorer and the best player. I also aim to contribute to the team play and spirit, performing even better than I did in the WAFU B competition", she revealed on her personal target in the competition.

Meanwhile, the tournament is set to take place from November 9th to 23rd, 2024 and it will feature eight top-tier women's clubs from across Africa competing for the coveted title and a substantial prize pool.
