Nigeria representative in ongoing CAF Women Champions League Wafu-B qualifiers, Edo Queens have been pitted against FC Inter D’Abidjan in the semi-final fixtures  which is set to take place on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Edo Queens secured their place in the semi-finals of the WAFU B CAF Women’s Champions League qualification tournament following a tight 1-0 victory against A.O Etincelle on Matchday 3 of Group B.

The key moment in Saturday's match occurred in the 41st minute when Joy Jerry took advantage of a goalkeeping error to net the sole goal, marking Edo Queens' third consecutive win in the group stage, recording an unbeaten group run.

A.O Etincelle came out for the second half with increased resolve, but they couldn't penetrate the solid defense of Edo Queens, anchored by Ijeoma Ozuma, who effectively stifled their offensive attempts.

Despite the defeat, A.O Etincelle's strong performances earlier in the tournament qualified them for the semi-finals.

A.O Etincelle will now face Ainonvi FC on Tuesday, August 20, 2024.
