CAFCC: Nigerian Ambassador to Libya calls at Rivers United FC GiIp
Nigerian Ambassador to Libya called at the camp of Nigeria's CAF Confederation Cup representative, Rivers United on Tuesday ahead of their second leg playoff with Al Nasr on Wednesday, reports Nigeriasoccernet.com.
Report from the club's media say His Excellency Kabiru Musa paid a visit to the team's training at the Benina stadium in Benghazi.
Amb Kabiru Musa was in the company of some consular staff of the embassy and members of Nigerian community in Tripoli and Benghazi and was received by the GMr of Rivers United Chief Dr Okey Kpalukwu JP, the team’s secretary Ahmed Abdulrahman and Technical Manager Stanley Eguma.
"The Ambassador charged Rivers United to go all out and make Nigeria proud not minding the mind games from their opponent while reiterating that himself and the Nigerian community in Libya are fully behind the team."
The Pride of Rivers will seek to consolidate on their first leg feat after winning by five goals to secure a group stage ticket.
The match comes up on Wednesday by 8pm Nigeria time in Libya.
