El Kanemi Warriors played out a draw against Dadje FC as they begin their campaign to the CAF Confederation Cup on Saturday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

A last gasp goal from Gimba Ajiji was required for the President Federation Cup winners to play 1-1 against the side from Burkina Faso in their first leg CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round match  at the Remo Stars Stadium.

The visitors opened score after half an hour into the game through a goal by Selasie Bakai.

However, Ajiji made sure the Nigerian side didn't leave the pitch empty after he restored parity at the dead of the game.

The Warriors from Maiduguri now have all to play for in the return leg with the Benin Republic side having the away goal advantage.
