CAF Champions League: Kotoko announce 28-man squad for Algeria trip
Kotoko have announced an official 28-man squad for their trip to Algeria ahead of their CAF Champions League first leg tie against MC El Eulma this weekend.
Assistant coach Michael Osei has named 19 players in his squad which includes three goalkeepers, seven defenders and three strikers.
Soon-to-be announced head coach David Duncan is also included in the squad ahead of their trip to the North African country.
The Ghanaian champions have struggled for form on the domestic scene and will hope to revive their campaign with a massive showing in Algeria.
The side will leave Accra via Turkish Airlines on Tuesday night for the crunch tie on Saturday.
Goalkeepers: Joseph Addo, Eric Ofori Antwi, Isaac Amoako
Defenders: Abeiku Ainooson, Akwasi Acheampong, Atta Kusi, Emmanuel Asante, Amos Frimpong, Isaac Donkor.
Midfielders: Michael Akuffo, Jackson Owusu, Kojo Poku, Jordan Opoku, Frank Sarfo Gyamfi, Richard Mpong, Stephen Oduro.
Strikers: Ahmed Toure, Obed Owusu, Dauda Mohammed.
Management members and Coaches: Opoku Nti – General Manager, George Kennedy – Operations Manager, Kwaku Ahenkorah – Communication Director, David Duncan – Head Coach, Michael Osei – Caretaker Coach, Enerst Appau- Asst Coach 1, Sampson Appiah- Goalkeepers Trainer, Issah Amadu- Physiotherapist, Dr Boateng- Team Doctor.
