Third place team in the 2021/2022 Nigeria professional football league season, Remo Stars will jet out of Nigeria for Morocco on Saturday.

This is ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round match against FAR Rabat of Morocco slated for Sunday 11th, September.

20 players with 12 backroom staffs, supporters, top club officials with selected journalists will fly to Morocco on Saturday aboard a ValueJet chattered flight via the Muritala Mohammed International Airport.

The Ikenne based team who were newly promoted in the 2021 season surprised all to finish in the top three at the end of the season.

Also ahead of the game, Remo Stars hinted the club will be wearing a new season jersey without a sponsor's tag.

The statement was released via the club website as preparations for their first continental engagement beckons.

"Due to CAF rules and regulation, our players will wear a replica of the 2022/23 new jersey but without the sponsors tag," the statement reads.

The first leg fixture will hold at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium on Sunday with kickoff at 8pm Nigeria time.
