The WAFU B Zone is set to host the qualifying round of the third edition of the CAF African Schools Football Championships next month, Nigeriasoccernet.com can confirm.

Following the draw held in Lomé, Togo on October 30th, Niger has been selected as the host nation for the qualifiers which will take place from November 18th to 24th, 2024.

WAFU B President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku and Togolese Football Federation President Kossi Guy Akpovy were among the dignitaries present at the draw ceremony.

BOYS

GROUP A: Niger, Burkina Faso, Ghana

GROUP B: Benin, Cote d’Ivoire, Nigeria

GIRLS

GROUP A: Niger, Burkina Faso, Ghana

GROUP B: Benin, Cote d’Ivoire, Nigeria

A total of six nations will compete in both the boys' and girls' divisions. Group A will see Niger, Burkina Faso, and Ghana battle it out, while Benin, Cote d'Ivoire, and Nigeria will clash in Group B.

The top two teams from each group will advance to the finals, where the champions will be crowned and secure a place in the CAF African Schools Football Championship finals in 2025.

It's worth noting that the draw for both the boys' and girls' divisions resulted in identical group pairings.
