Nigerian winger Henry Onyekuru, currently without a club, has been linked with a move to Turkish second-tier side Bursaspor.

The rumour emerged on 10 October, with Bursaspor identified as the potential destination in Turkey’s 1. Lig. No transfer fee or probability has been attached to the reported interest.

Onyekuru, 29, has been without a club since 12 July 2026, when he left Genclerbirligi. He had joined the Ankara-based club from Saudi Arabian side Al-Fayha on a free transfer in July 2025.

The left winger has extensive experience in Turkish football, recording 28 goals and 14 assists in 100 Super Lig appearances. He also won the Turkish league and Turkish Cup with Galatasaray during the 2018-19 season.

Onyekuru’s career has included spells with Everton, Anderlecht, Galatasaray, Monaco, Olympiacos, Adana Demirspor, Al-Fayha and Genclerbirligi. His highest recorded market value was €13m, reached in 2019, while his current valuation is €800,000.

A move to Bursaspor would represent a return to Turkey’s domestic game after his most recent spell in the country ended with his departure from Genclerbirligi. Onyekuru remains available as a free agent.
