After having flopped big time at his Torino seasonal debut, Swiss international left-back Ricardo Rodriguez, turning 29 on August 25, is already meant to part ways with Granata. Currently on a deal with Italian club until June 2024, former Wolfsburg, AC Milan and PSV Eindhoven player, viable also as a wide midfielder, a wingback, and a centre-back, is headed back into Bundesliga realms.
Bearing with himself a mostly underwhelming four-year long tenure in Italian football, Rodriguez is now being approached by Mainz 05, and seems eager to hit back Germany indeed. Fancied by top clubs all around Europe from 2014 to 2018, FC Zurich alumni is now up for sale on a couple million euros.
