Bayer Leverkusen's forward, Victor Boniface, expressed anticipation for his comeback following a spell on the sidelines due to injury, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Boniface resumed training this week for an injury sustained in January.

Despite initial projections indicating a return in April, the 23-year-old has made a speedy recovery.

Having netted 16 goals and provided  eight assists in 23 appearances across all competitions this season, his return holds significance for Die Werkself.

There's speculation of his possible inclusion in Leverkusen's Bundesliga encounter against TSG Hoffenheim this weekend.

Boniface emphasized his eagerness to contribute to his team, stating, "The team did very well without me...the most important thing for me is to be able to help the team with my style of play and simply have fun."
