Werder Bremen coach Horst Steffen expressed his disappointment with Boniface's display, suggesting he can do better.
The coach's comments highlight the striker's underwhelming outing and the need for improvement.
"He [Boniface] tried to hold onto the ball up front. Today I thought to myself: Come on, he can do even better,” Steffen said, according to Bild.
Boniface will be looking to bounce back and lead Werder Bremen to victory when they face Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga on Friday.
