Bruno Fernandes is expected to return to Manchester United’s starting line-up against Chelsea after resolving a disagreement with manager Michael Carrick.

The Portugal midfielder criticised the tactics selected for the Champions League match against Como, which Manchester United lost 4-1. He was then left on the bench for the entire 90 minutes of the Premier League defeat by Bournemouth, with Manchester United losing 3-0.

According to talkSPORT, Fernandes and Carrick have settled their differences following a conversation between the player and the manager. Reports had previously said the pair had held talks.

Fernandes is now expected to be restored to the Manchester United starting XI for the meeting with Chelsea.

Manchester United are currently 16th in the Premier League table.
