Brooks commits to Cherries
Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe hopes David Brooks can build on his excellent form this season after the player inked a new long-term contract with the club.
The 21-year-old, who moved to the Cherries from Sheffield United last summer, has proved to be one of the best young players in the Premier League this term and has already scored in 23 top-flight appearances for Howe's side.
Brooks made his comeback from an ankle injury in Saturday's 1-0 home defeat to Manchester City after spending a month on the sidelines.
He is in the running to be named young player of the year by the Professional Footballers' Association.
Brooks said: "When talks started about a new deal it was something I wanted and it didn't take long to sort out.
"I've loved every minute of my time here so far and I'm really happy to extend my contract."
Meanwhile, Howe said: "David impressed everyone from the minute he stepped through the door, with his mature, creative performances on the pitch backed up by a good attitude and professional lifestyle off it.
"This contract means he can concentrate on developing his game. It's been an excellent start to David's Bournemouth career."
Bournemouth are 5/4 to beat Huddersfield Town in their next match on Saturday and 7/1 to edge to a 1-0 win in West Yorkshire against the rock-bottom Terriers.
